Precious | Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

Hello lovelies!

I am so excited to be able to share my first layout as part of the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Design Team today! I created my layout with the divine ‘More Than Words’ collection.

I created my layout around the beautiful Butterfly cut file designed by Paige Evans which I found via the Silhouette store HERE. I backed it with lots of contrasting pastel papers. For my background, I added a half triangle of white card stock and added a machine stitched border.By doing this it also helped my Butterfly really stand out.

I used lots of dies and punches from my stash to create my layered flowers.Once I had glued them together I curled the petals of each just a little and centred them with an enamel dot. I also added some of the flower die cuts from the collection as well.

I punched some different styled leaves and added them in and around my blooms for balance.feb4

To finish off my layout I added one of the lovely chipboard stickers as a title to the top left side.

Once completed I loved the texture and dimension my layout had.

Hello my Scrappy friends! I have been busy with SO many festive projects these past few weeks, that today I decided to have a little break from all the red & green and tinsel themes to have a play with the new Whimsical collection by Pink Paislee. Flowers really are my favourite and I worked with a divine floral cut file by Paige Evans. Paige also created the beautiful Whimsical collection- I love all the happy, bright colours!

Here is a little look at my completed layout:-

Whimsical 1

To add some ‘extra’ colour to my page I trimmed off 1.5cm from one side and added some of the striped, coloured paper as a border. I ruffled the edge a little just with my fingers to soften the overall look.

I wanted as much colour as possible for my layout, so I backed my cut file with many of the papers. I then adhered it to my page with foam tape to give it a multi dimensional appearance.

whimsical 5

I also added in some of the floral die cuts underneath my cut file to fill in any open space.

Love all that colour!

Once I had added my title with the gorgeous co-ordinating Alpha Thickers, I spritzed a tiny amount of pink watercolour to the background- Being very careful not to get it on my photo etc.

Hope you have enjoyed seeing my layout today! Until next time,

Life’s Never Crabby!

Hello lovely ones! I’m jumping onto my blog today to share with you a layout I completed recently using the October Cocoa Daisy Memory Keeping Kit. The photo I took recently on our holiday of my daughter and I wanted to capture something fun when creating my layout.

The Crab cut file is by Paige Evans . I totally fell in love with it and knew it would be a perfect companion for my photo.

I backed the Crab with two different exclusive papers from the kits, carefully tracing each shape and gluing into place.

The cute clouds were a cut file by Cocoa Daisy. To give them extra texture and dimension I added a simple back stitch by hand using embroidery cotton.

I always love using a title on my layouts so I combined two of the different Alpha stickers to do so.

I was really pleased with the finished result. There was so much joy captured in my photo and I think the layout also reflects that.

Thanks for stopping by today! If you would like to check out Cocoa Daisy you can do so HERE.

Hello Fall in Spring!

Hello my sweet crafting friends! Spring has certainly sprung here in Australia and I’m loving the warmer weather. However I’ve been creating with the new Celebrate Autumn collection by Echo Park Paper. Oh my goodness it is so cute!! You can see for yourself HERE the whole collection.

With so many beautiful colours and patterns to the papers, I just wanted to use all of them! Here is a little look at my completed layout-

The leaves and lettering cut files were designed by the lovely Ashley from The Cut Shoppe via Etsy.I loved the leaves as I could add lots of the patterned paper as a background.

I added the leaves to my page with foam tape so they had a ‘risen’ appearance to them.I placed my photos flat beneath them so it looked like the leaves were falling down my page.

I added balance to the bottom of my page by using one of the sweet border stickers from the sticker sheet . Can I also take a minute to say, how cute is that Hedgehog?? Love him! He was part of the chipboard stickers.

I also added another small cluster of chipboard stickers to the base of my main photo.I love the dimension chipboard stickers can add to your layout.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my latest layout! Don’t forget you can follow more of my paper journey via Instagram HERE.

Summer Days!

So the weather here at the moment is beyond freezing which has had me longing for Summer. I picked up some of my fav paper collections recently from Sassyscrappers

The ‘Oh My Heart’range is still a firm favourite which is what I used for this layout. The Sun and Flamingo cut files are by Paige Evans.

I love all the bright colours! Since I used a white background I did add some pink, orange and yellow watercolour splashes to break it up a little. As always I have adhered everything with foam tape so its adds dimension.

Around the edges of my little clouds I have added some yellow hand stitching to help them stand out.

Since there was so much colour happening already with my cut files I really didn’t need to add too many die cuts. I added just a few flower clusters.

Adventure Time with ‘Mountain Air’.

Hey friends! I ordered the new Mountain Air collection from Kaisercraft this month and I have just finished a new layout with it.It’s a really fun, modern collection with lots of gorgeous prints. I really wanted to create a layout of my son fishing so this seemed the perfect choice!

I discovered the Deer cut file at the Silhouette Store which was designed by Paige Evans.

The ‘Adventure’ title was also in the Silhouette Store. Both seemed perfect to use with these papers. I’m not going to lie….Cutting out all the different papers to fit within the Deer took foreverrrrrrr. Once done though I was so glad I took the time to do it. I love lots of detail.

To achieve my textured edge on my background paper I misted it very lightly with water and then tore about 1 cm off using a ruler as a guide.By using the water made it super easy to tear evenly.I did this on all four sides, and once I adhered it to the second background paper I just light ruffled the edges with my nail before stitching an edge around it.

I added foam tape to adhere everything so that it all stood out from the background.I also lightly edged my title with a fine tip marker to help it stand out more. I never do this neatly as I love the effect the wonky edge gives.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have enjoyed seeing my latest layout.
