October with Kaisercraft

Hello lovelies!

October is drawing to a close and it was such a fun month with the Kaisercraft design team. This month saw us work with two beautiful collections, ‘Ooh La La’ -(the name says it all really) and Glisten. Here is a little look at my projects for the month!

My mini shadow box album featuring ‘Ooh La La’.

‘Ooh La La’ canvas art.

‘Glisten’ snailmail flipbook.

And finally……

‘Ooh La La’ layout.

Hope you have enjoyed seeing my designs.I can’t wait to share November with you all!

Until next time,

Rosie Belle

A little bit of scrapping fun today with the new range of Rosie Belle papers by Prima Marketing. It is such a pretty range! I’ve co-ordinated some blooms also from Prima as well as a little mixed media.

Here is the completed layout-

I used a little white Gesso first to soften the background and added in quite a few splatters using Kaisermist Pink by Kaisercraft. The image itself is also backed with papers from the Rosie Belle range.

I fussy cut a lot of flowers and butterflies from the paper as well. These are great to tuck into vacant places of your layout. You can see here I have also added a dash of Gold liquid pearls and some gold micro beads also.

This word embellishment I had floating in my stash but I painted it with a ‘Watermelon’ gelato and edged the top with gold embossing powder.I really liked the effect this gave!

Here you can see the many layers and dimension, as well as my fussy cut blooms mentioned before. The little green leaves were a chipboard from Scrapmatts and I coloured them with Kaisercrafts green stamp pad.

Hope you liked today’s creation!

Until next time,

Kylie xoxo

Scrap Saturday

Hi everyone! This week I am on fire!…Two blog posts! Thought I would share with you a quick layout I have just completed. It’s in Shabby Chic theme using 49 & Market papers and Prima Marketing flowers, extra bits and Color Bloom spray in ‘Peony’ and ‘Iris’.I really love the finished result!

The papers I used were ‘Faded Bloom’ and ‘Passage’. Love these colours!

I fussy cut a few extra flowers from the ‘Heirloom Cutouts’ paper.I’ve combined them with co-ordinating flowers from Prima Marketing.I’ve also added in some gold micro beads for effect.

I used a template with texture paste. The ‘Mini time for love’ by Rebekah Meier.I love the dimension this added!

Hope you have enjoyed today’s project!

Until next time,

Kylie xoxo

Paper Sweetpea

A ‘POSH’ Tuesday…..

Hello my lovelies! I hope you are all well. This week with the Sassyscrappers design team I have created a very simplistic layout using the new ‘Posh’ collection by Simple Stories Now you all know my love affair with Simple Stories! Swooning! Here are just some of the beautiful products in the range……..

This range has a fab collection for scrapbooking as well as for your planner.Yasssssss!

Here is a little look at my completed layout-

The little ‘extras’ I’ve used for this layout is the cross stitch heart, (I’ll talk more about this in a minute), as well as a soft watercolour background.I have lots of you tell me that you are scared of mixed media. You really shouldnt be! There are such fab products on the market today that enable you to create such fantastic results with minimal effort. These are the two products I have used behind my layout-

I’ve used Prima Color Bloom spray in ‘Gold Foil’ and the ‘Pastel Dreams’ watercolours. Both of these products are by Prima Marketing and available on the Sassyscrappers website.

I’ve used Lemonade as the peachy background.A helpful tip if you are starting out! Don’t forget to add Gesso to your page prior to any mixed media application. Also the more water with your paint the softer the result! The splatters on my layout are using the Gold Foil Color Bloom spray.

Here are a few closer pics-

Now I know you will all want to know how I applied the cross stitch heart. I bought this template in a Spotlight sale.Best money I ever spent….But I believe it was an Amy Tangerine brand if that helps! Super easy to use!

I totally love the Gold Foil spray!

I hope you like this weeks project and it inspires you to have a go with some watercolours and mixed media.Don’t forget you can find all supplies via the Sassyscrappers website here ….Oh and the Color Bloom sprays are currently on sale. (Did I say that out loud??)

Keep creating and don’t forget to follow along with more of my adventures on Facebook here- Paper Sweetpea
